With fresh hints of traditional African, reggae, folk, etc., 7Fireside’s new single ‘Ride’ sounds infectiously familiar and unfamiliar at the same time.
As always, their music defies easy categorization. The rich tapestry of sounds and thought-provoking lyrics reflect on shifts in creativity, media and politics in a post-pandemic world. The tune is inspired by movements: liberation movements; movements across minds, land, sky, water, borders; etc. It is an invite to break free from rigid artistic concepts.

7Fireside is a collective of artists from different backgrounds delivering distinct expressions of World music. They are Stone (bass), Jeff (drums), Mohamdo (percussion) and 7 (vocals) – from San Diego, Los Angeles, Sudan/Egypt and Ghana respectively.
Venues performed at include Africa Town (aka Leimert Park), Black Rose Tavern, Roosevelt Coffee (Irvine), Rock ‘n’ Roll Pizza (Simi Valley), The Holdings Company (San Diego) and The Mint.
Motivation for songs come from existence – that good ultimately prevails.
